I am an associate of Mr. David Sherron, “Unto Him Ministry”. Together with Unto Him Ministries’ ‘food pantry”, our champion team have been able to help families who need foods and clothes.
Mr. David Sherron “Unto Him Ministries” have supported multiple families not to go hungry.
Many of the families live in a low budget location and do not have the transportation to get to food pantry. Therefore, Mr. David Sherron and his ministry deliveries food to the families.
I support his grant request because doing this time of Covid-19, many families were unable to feed their families. Champion team is a team of mentors/ coaches. Our champion team really appreciates Mr. David Sherron for helping and supporting the desperate needs of families and keeping them from going hungry.

Unto Him ministries has been a powerful and effective ministry that has truly impacted families during this trying time of COVID-19. They offer hope, a sense of dignity and worth for families during a significant time of need.
Our Champion’s team mentors students at Arlington Woods Elementary. When school closed in March due to Covid-19, we called all the families to continue support and make sure they had their basic needs met. In an area that is considered a hot zone for COVID-19, some of our families needed food and had no transportation. Other families were high risk and were told not to leave the house during quarantine. Some families lost their jobs.
Unto Him Ministries delivered custom food orders to our families along with the love of Jesus. They have truly been angels here on earth. They have provided our families with fresh meat and produce, milk and eggs, frozen and fresh vegetables and several other items of need. Unto Him allows a family to specifically request items. The gift of having food in the house that they normally eat provides a sense of comfort and normalcy for the family.
I believe this demonstration of humanity decreases a families stress and fear. One mother was so excited to cook meals that her children loved to eat!! There is so much dignity and respect that Unto Him communicates through their service that families are humbled and so incredibly grateful.
Unto Him remains committed and diligent in reaching families who desperately need food, cleaning supplies, toiletries and clothing.
I am honored to get to work with such a life giving ministry.

I want to commend Unto Him Ministries in their efforts to serve the Greater Indianapolis community. I am participant of the Emmanuel Baptist Church's C.H.A.M.P.I.O.N. mentoring program at Arlington Woods school #99.
These challenging times has forced our group to broaden our scope in serving at 99 by assisting in meeting the needs of families of the children we mentor. Unto Him Ministries have aided our efforts by providing food and other essentials to the families we are serving.

I contacted Mr. David Sherron 2 months ago, asking for help for a woman, who I will call L.M., who had a serious medical condition. She was lonely and just lost her job due to the pandemic, and was in need of immediate help with her bills, groceries and spiritual support.
Mr. Sherron was very prompt to contact her and find out more about her needs. His ministry Unto Him located resources to help her with her bills, found her a table with chairs and did much to help her in her time of need.
I was very amazed and thankful to see how his ministry with limited resources helped L.M. and how he diligently found more ways to help her. This stands an example how his ministry can reach out and support more people in the future.
My home is that they can be approved for a grant so they can continue to help and bless those in need like L.M. Their work is very inspiring and worthy of support.

This reference is regarding Pastor David Sherron and Unto Him Ministries. In the time that I have had the honor to connect with him concerning delivering food to those in need; I find him to have compassion for those he serves.
Pastor Sherron and his ministry cares about the needs of each individual. I have been in the volunteer environment for a long time, but I have never met anyone who takes the time out to ask each family what they not only need, but what they want; even to desires for soap, shampoo, deodorant, etc.
Pastor Sherron never asks for donations from those whom he serves. He is punctual and very respectful as are those who labor as volunteers with his ministry.
Honestly, I wish there were many others like Pastor Sherron, who has a love to help and serve people, regardless of who they are and what zip code they live in. He does not try to push his beliefs on anyone that he serves. He is truly a servant of God.

We know that this is an awesome challenge to serve men and women returning to citizenship as well as helping the homeless population toward obtaining self-sufficiency and toward becoming more productive citizens in our city of Indianapolis.
It have been with great pleasure to support Unto Him Ministries with their mission and particularly when they served over one thousand homeless men, women and children in downtown Indianapolis by providing our box truck, drivers and volunteers on “ Love Thy Neighbor Day.” From the inception of Unto Him Ministries, it was with pleasure that RecycleForce support the many services that “Unto Him” provides to the needy by serving hundreds of families doing critical times of their lives make this easy to support.
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for many of our citizens and with Unto Him having added support from philanthropic foundations can only enhance their efforts toward establishing many other partnerships that makes there organization self-sustainable as they continue the good work toward bridging the gap between those who otherwise would not be reached.
RecycleForce has long recognized the need to encourage individuals to pursue careers in the Construction, General industry and the advanced manufacturer and warehouse fields have been working to bring more of the underserved population to this fruition. The RecycleForce Director of Training and Operations has been participating in the efforts with Unto Him for more than six years, and we will continue to be a support to UNTO Him toward their mission as much as possible.
In support of this initiative by Unto Him, We will help by identifying the individuals that they reach through qualified referrals and develop training and working opportunities for the population that they serve to move them toward unsubsidized, sustainable self-sufficiency opportunities. This letter is to share appreciation for Unto to Him Ministry, and the time/effort they provide to the children of, Wheeler Mission Center for Woman & Children Revive Kids Program, has been greatly blessed by this ministry. The Revive Kids Program serves a population of children who are experiencing homelessness, trauma, loss of a family member etc., and the fields trips are a great outlet for experiencing happiness. The children look forward to the field trips and spending time with those who serve with this ministry. Several parents have shared that the experiences their children have had on field trips, would not have been possible without the Unto to Him Ministry. Unto to Him Ministry, provides unique experiences to the children.

At Family Promise, we met David Sherron and the Unto Him ministry he founded when in the midst of a revitalization effort of our 4,000-foot Day Center for families experiencing homelessness. The ministry immediately brought resources to the project through small grants and volunteer labor, and for that we are grateful, but what struck me more was their alignment with our deep desire to provide something dignified to the families we serve. So many times, our budget forces us to give second hand items to children here. The Unto Him ministry would have none of that. Now their service has branched out to serving those families in need by providing Thanksgiving meals, or engaging children and families with evening activities while they are staying in the program. It is certainly a passionate and inspiring group that takes service as a deep calling as opposed to a past-time.

When David Sherron invited me to participate with his group, I was excited by what he told me, but also doubtful what I could contribute with a bad back and knee.
I have known since my late teens, my spiritual gifts are: compassion towards others, and their problems, and talking with anybody about anything.
At different churches, I have been a deacon who visited those in the hospital, and those home bound. In my early 20's, I volunteered at the Riley Burn Unit visiting babies who had critical burns, when the parents couldn't be around all the time. During my working years, my company granted time from work to volunteer in various reading programs at a nearby school Besides David's group, I coach a 4th - 6th grade Flag Football Team.
My Unto Him dinner serving experience at the Wheeler Mission was more than I expected. My first time there, I had dialysis that that Friday afternoon, and was still kinda tired, and had not fully recovered. But I always feel that if I can walk, I'll always fulfill my obligations. I tried my best to serve the trays to those wonderful guys, but my body let me down.
I then decided to sit with the homeless guys we were serving and use my gift of talking. It was an experience I will never forget. Those men were willing to talk about God in their life, and what they were willing to try to change their lives.
Through Unto Him I also have helped with the serving dinners to various families at several shelters. I have been blessed to talk and listen to members of these families, especially the kids.
I appreciate David having an understanding that I'll give 110 % effort with whatever Unto Him project by body allows me to participate in. Despite whatever pain I might be experiencing, my God gives me the strength to help others less fortunate than me. I have been so blessed in my life, so it’s been my mission in my life to help and teach others.
I love and appreciate the Sherron family for the opportunities to serve the needs within my community, for those so many others overlook.

Unto Him has been a tremendous blessing for many of our church members.
For example, “I”, Linda, was feeling like I was not contributing toward missionary ministry and was wanting to go out and help people that were in need. I was asked to volunteer with “Unto Him” by shopping for families that would otherwise not have a holiday meal, or Christmas for their children. After volunteering, God blessed me to be able to bless my own grandchildren. I believe that God blesses us when we bless others.

I was introduced to the tremendous outreach service that Unto Him was providing to our communities “On Sundays” as well as Mondays through Saturdays. But I was particularly convicted when I learned that while many churches were having regular church services on Sundays, the Unto Him ministry was actually being the hands and the feet of Jesus Christ by serving the Homeless, Providing Meals to the Hungry, Visiting the Sick and ministering to the unchurched people in our city and in our communities.
So I was inspired to present the Unto Him serving opportunities to our “Circle of Trust” (CoT) members. CoT is a community based organization, and many member associates agreed to partner with Unto Him to volunteer to serve with many different types of outreach serving opportunities.
Many members had decided to join Unto Him ministry to be available at times, and as a result, other Church ministries, community based organizations, and individuals from other diverse populations have volunteered, as well as their family members.
We have received testimonies of how many people had been blessed by serving with or being served by Unto Him in their homes, blessed in their ministries and blessed to be a blessing to their families. CoT would like to thank Unto Him Ministries for providing a field in which so many people can plant seeds of kindness into the lives of those that God commissioned us to serve.

Thank you for the kitchen sink. Kids were washing their hands in it yesterday before lunch. A mom last week was washing out baby bottles in it. A dad filled a bowl with water to cook his Ramen noodles. All did this far away from the bathroom and avoided cross contamination. This was long overdue.
Thanks to your donation of the counter, sink, and cabinet, we used the funds from Meridian Street UMC to hire Hope Plumbing last Friday to install the cold and hot water supply and the drain through the wall to the laundry pipes. It works wonderfully, and the attached picture is proof.
This is such a relief to have here for AT LEAST the next four years of our lease, if not 20 years.

On Saturday, April 15, 2017, while my husband Leroy and I were serving dinner to the homeless with Unto Him at a local church, we had the following encounter with Jesus.
This was a special opportunity for us to serve under the leadership of David Sherron, founder of unto Him Ministries. It was this day, that we had the privilege of meeting three families in a homeless crisis situation, that were being housed for the week at a local suburban church (through a program that provides temporary housing for homeless families by utilizing a network of local churches to host them on a weekly basis). While each family exhibited unique and diverse qualities, there was one particular mother whose eyes I was unable to ignore. She was holding a baby girl on her hip, who looked to be under the age of 1.
While the families were sitting down eating the delicious dinner that was prepared by Brother David and Brother Leroy, I noticed two orange oval shaped chairs positioned away from the dining area, in what looked to be a quiet, private space. As I made my way towards this inviting area, I sat down in what felt like a soft, plush pillow. While sitting in this comfortable space, my eyes looked all around observing this moment in time; while watching the families’ interactions, surveying the pictures on the wall, observing the outside light shining through the stained glass windows, and, of course, talking with my heavenly Father.
After about 20 minutes, the same young lady, whom we will call Rhonda, walked towards me with the same baby on her hip. I stopped her and asked her where she was going. Her comment, “My baby was getting sleepy, and I am taking her to our room.” I asked her how she was doing that evening, and that opened the door to us to conversant more.
Rhonda sat down in the orange oval chair next to me. She told me that she wanted a change in her life, and that she was looking for something better for herself and her children. She began to pour out her heart to me at that moment, and I listened to not only what she was saying, but also to what she wasn’t saying.
Rhonda drew me into her world, and I entered by sharing how, at one time, my family and I too were once homeless guest of this same organization. So my testimony included how I, myself, was once in the same situation that Rhonda was currently finding herself in.
I shared with her how I utilized that precious time to pursue my Lord, Jesus. I shared what God did for me and my family, and I explained that He could, and would, do the same thing for her. I then asked her if she knew Jesus, and if she was saved. Her response was that she believed in a `higher power’, and that she believed in God. I then posed the question again: “Are you saved, and have you confessed Jesus as your Lord?” “No”, she responded.
I then asked Rhonda if she wanted to be saved. She responded, “Yes I do, (with tears filling her eyes)!” Her response came without hesitation or confrontation, so I knew she was open to receive. I led Rhonda in confessing the sinner’s prayer, from Romans 10:9 – “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the Heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Rhonda and I hugged and rejoiced! Then we got up, and I told everyone who was at the church that night, either serving or being served, that a soul had just been saved!!!
